35th anniversary letterman jackets !!

This statement is what drives the members of Rock Medicine. A non-judgmental, unbiased approach to patients and a deep knowledge of medicine is what makes this organization so special. It takes a certain kind of person to volunteer with Rock Med. It takes a person who is willing to deal with vomit and belligerent patients, yet keeping a sense of humor and a smile the entire time (and come back again and again for more!).

The philosophy of Rock Med and its participants is simple:  "
Take care of the individual right now and return him to his friends or his family and do away with the necessity of either hospitalizing him or getting him involved with the law."

Rock Medicine Success Story:

"Hello! You may not remember me but I will never forget what Rock Medicine did for me. In October I had a horrible mushroom trip at a show. You were there for me the entire time, right by my side. I can't thank you enough for reaching out and helping a complete stranger. You all are such wonderful people and I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude towards you. I am happy to say my experimentation with hard drugs is over; I now know my limits. I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Rock Medicine received this letter of thanks from one of our many satisfied clients from the year 2001. Rock Medicine and its 350 active volunteers covered over 450 shows at 23 venues. We provided care at shows that covered a wide spectrum of modern entertainment. The highlights included the first rock and roll show at the Pac Bell Ballpark with the Dave Matthews Band,  the Dalai Lama at Shoreline Amphitheater; the Ozzy Osbourne Fest at Sacramento Valley Amphitheater; 4th of July Fireworks at Fisherman's Wharf; and the Van's Warped Tour at the Boreal Ridge Ski Area in Lake Tahoe. Rock Medicine continues to provide comprehensive medical care, crisis intervention, training, and as we see from the letter above, education and awareness
